Yesterday, with Jack, Jeremy and my sister Laura and her little family who was in town visiting, we went to the Chicago Botanic Garden. We had breakfast with Santa and saw a wonderful train exhibit.
My favorite part (besides the relief of Jack not crying when he saw Santa) was walking around the grounds after the breakfast. The day was crisp and clear - cold but not windy, and the sunny was shining. We strolled the Japanese garden, Jeremy's favorite. It was so peaceful. I love that about nature - the calming environment that provides a restful moment for reflection.
I'm sending out my Christmas cards soon but in the meantime, I hope you enjoy this picture with many warm holiday wishes for a peaceful and hopeful new year.
